The center of Taiwan’s politics, administration, economy, and culture, Taipei is one of the five largest commercial city in Asia with well developed IT, textile, electric machinery, and electronic industries. It is home to the National Palace Museum, which is one of the world’s four major museums, as well as Taipei, the fifth tallest building in the world. In 2017, Taipei hosted the Summer Universiade.
