Plovdiv, Bulgaria – established on October 24, 2002

Plovdiv is the second-largest city, industrial leader and second IT & BPO center of Bulgaria. It is one of the fastest growing areas in the country, with predominantly young population and a vibrant expat community of 20,000 foreigners which grows with 10% each year. It is one of the leading economic, cultural, commercial, transport, education, and tourist destinations in the country. Manufacturing and business services account for over 2/3 of the local economy, which is supported by a well-developed educational system with over 24,400 high school and 35,300 university students. The city has been recognized for its vast history, spanning over 8000 years, and rich cultural heritage, earning it the title European Capital of Culture 2019.
