Will be held from March 5 (Wed) through 7 (Fri) at EXCO

International Textile Fair: Preview In Daegu (PID), a trade show on textiles, textile machinery, and other aspects of fashion, will be held for three days from March 5 (Wed) at EXCO’s East Wing (Halls 5 and 6). It is hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City (DMC) and Gyeongsangbuk-do Office and supervised by the Daegu Gyeongbuk Textile Industries Association.

In its 23rd run this year, PID’s theme for 2025 is “combination of heritage and high-tech.” Accordingly, the 470 booths by 261 Korean and foreign companies will be presenting the entire textile process, from raw materials to finished clothing.

One noteworthy feature is the Sustainable High-tech Pavilion, which is presented in cooperation with this year’s CES Innovation Award-winning companies. Visitors will be able to see the latest developments in the textile fashion industry that blend technology with eco-friendly consideration, including 3D digitization services for hyper-realistic fashion, AI fashion filming solutions, and nano-fibers produced from cell cultures.

The Trend Forum Pavilion will present a vision for the future of textile fashion based on 2026 S/S trends that merge design with technology. There will also be conferences and seminars on the latest trends and issues in the global textile fashion market (e.g. brand resale, eco-certification, fashion tech).

The Textile & Fashion Buying Show, which will be held on-site on March 5~6, will introduce clothing created through collaborations between local fashion designers and textile manufacturers. Visitors will be able to purchase not only clothing from the fashion show but also various other fashion items.

PID will also have a business consultation session attended by well-known buyers and vendors from both Korean and foreign fashion corporations (e.g. Burberry, Prada, Supreme, Hugo Boss, Hyungji Group, F&F, ShinWon, Kolon FnC).

Mayor Hong Joon-pyo said, “The textile industry is what made Daegu the city it is today. There are hardships posed by changes in industrial structure and the ongoing recession. This does not change the fact, however, that Daegu’s textile fashion industry possesses huge potential. We hope to revive the textile industry through a transformation of industrial structure—namely, by making connections with future industries, such as ABB and robotics.”
