119 Firefighting Experience Classroom
Participants
- Kindergarten children (at least 6 years old), elementary, middle, and high school students, housewives (various women's groups), other groups (office workers), etc.
Number of participants and location
- At least 20 people
- Eight fire stations (Jungbu, Dongbu, Seobu, Bukbu, Suseong, Dalseo, Dalseong, Gangseo)
Experience program
- Theory: Basic firefighting knowledge and safety education, etc.
- Fire suppression: Initial fire suppression experience using fire extinguishers and fire trucks, etc.
- Evacuation in case of fire: Escape experience from high-rise buildings using evacuation descent devices and ropes, basement fire evacuation experience, etc.
- First aid: Artificial respiration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and first aid techniques in the event of an accident, etc.
- Physical training: Basic physical training (running and other activities)
- Souvenir photos and video
Hours of operation
- 10:00 to 17:00 (hours can be adjusted to meet the needs of the participating group)
- Year-round (excluding Saturdays and public holidays)
Purpose
- Improve safety awareness and disaster response capabilities through early childhood experience and education
- Improve ability to anticipate hazards during a variety of incidents through experience with virtual fires etc.
- Minimize actual human injury and property damage by learning to effectively respond to accidents
