Mobile Safety Experience Vehicle

Fire Events

Daegu Fire Department operates multiple mobile safety experience vehicles to create a culture of safety awareness and proactive disaster prevention through indirect experience with a variety of disasters for children and other members of the general public, thereby working to eliminate the low safety awareness levels prevalent throughout society and preventing accidents.

The experience vehicles are designed to provide some experience with escaping injury from fire, earthquakes and smoke. The truck interiors and exteriors have a variety of video and sound devices, as well as other equipment to create an immersive experience. The vehicle interiors are also equipped with CCTV to monitor the experience activities of the participants.

Operation After receiving reservations through Daegu Metropolitan City integrated reservation system and phone consultation, the vehicles visit 1 to 2 target fire stations per day and conduct training at designated locations. Daegu Metropolitan City integrated reservation system

※ Operations during the hottest and coldest seasons, or on national holidays and non-working days, are carried out only with approval from the person in charge of each department.
Participants
  • Children from daycare, kindergarten, and elementary school
  • Minimum age of participants: Four years old
  • Minimum number of participants per experience: 30 (If there are fewer than 30 participants, the experience may occur in collaboration with another experience center.)
  • Maximum number of participants per experience: 100 people (for larger numbers, arrangements should be made in advance.)

Notes
  • Since the experience vehicle is larger than a 45-seater bus, arrangements should be made in advance if you want us to visit you to receive training. (Vehicle specifications: length 11.9m / height 4m / width 2.5m)
  • The experience schedule may change due to rainy, snowy or other undesirable weather conditions.
  • Please note that the schedule may be affected in the event of fire drills or the need for the center to assist with disaster response.

Details of experience training

Main experience facilities

  • Earthquake experience

    Feel the ground “shake” indirectly in simulation of an earthquake situation at home, and learn what to do during such a situation.

  • Smoke in subway experience

    Learn how to open subway doors manually to escape in the event of a fire or other emergency on the subway train. Daegu Subway Line 1 is the model for this experience.

  • Darkness escape experience

    Learn evacuation techniques for dealing with thick smoke or smoke in the dark, passing over obstacles, and escaping through a slide

  • Comprehensive video education and CPR experience

    Improve participant knowledge of safety and experience CPR through video education on various disasters on a large 70-inch screen outside
