Emblem
Emblem of Daegu Fire Department
The new emblem of Daegu Fire Department was created by citizens and government officials through a contest in 2018. The emblem design symbolizes Daegu Fire Department, which protects the lives and property of residents and creates a safe Daegu. It powerfully, simply, and creatively expresses the Daegu Metropolitan City mark and the fire department brand (119) in the shield shape that represents protection against fire and disaster. It also clearly states the Daegu Fire Department slogan (Daegu Fire Department – Ready for you) to project its identity and orientation values, and to maximize external notifications and the pride of its members.
