I am Uhm Joon-wook, director of the Daegu Fire Department.

Welcome to our website!

To protect the lives and assets of Daegu’s residents in the face of accidents and disasters, many of which are becoming increasingly large and complex, we at the Daegu Fire Department engage in disaster prevention and response efforts based on faithfulness to the basics and extensive field experience and expertise.

We are in the process of building a safety management system that, based on our city’s vision (“Powerful Daegu: Full of Freedom and Vitality”), ensures a safe and fulfilling life for every Daegu resident by staying one step ahead of disaster.

Daegu Fire Department’s first priority is keeping Daegu’s 2.37 million residents safe through unity of our members. I hope this website can become an effective platform for communicating with the public through content on various aspects of everyday safety and disaster prevention.
