International Fire & Safety EXPO Korea is the biggest fire and safety exhibition in Asia along with the China Fire Exhibition and the Tokyo International Fire & Safety Exhibition. It is also the only exhibition in Korea specializing in fire and safety, making the event an optimal stage for global businesses in relevant fields.

The International Fire & Safety EXPO 2008, which focuses heavily on promoting transactions and exports, exhibits roughly 20,000 different kinds of advanced fire and safety technologies and products. The expo is fully supported by the National Emergency Management Agency together with Daegu Metropolitan City for the success of all businesses in attendance.

Each year, around 25,000 fire and safety government officials (in charge of purchasing) visit the expo. The expo is also visited by domestic fire and safety managers and construction officials as well as corporate buyers from 40 countries, the latter of which participate in on-site business consultations.

The International Fire & Safety EXPO also holds a variety of events alongside the main expo, including the International Fire & Emergency Management Symposium, International Disaster Case Presentation/Symposium, New Technology & New Product Presentation and Demonstration, and 119 Citizen Experience.

The International Fire & Safety Expo is held at EXCO (Daegu Exhibition & Convention Center), which is characterized by its new, world-class exhibition and convention facilities. EXCO is recognized nationwide as being one of the best venues for holding dynamic, lively events. EXCO also features an outdoor exhibition hall perfect for product demonstrations and large-scale events.
