Yangzhou, China (established on March 21, 2003)
With a history of 2,500 years, Yangzhou was a center of amphibious transportation since ancient times. With highly-advanced trade relations with Shilla, Goryeo, the Arabian Empire, and Japan, the city is currently part of the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone (which includes Shanghai). Yangzhou is also home to various multinational corporations, including Volkswagen, Philips, and Toray Industries.
