The capital city of Liaoning Province, Shenyang is a traditional base for the heavy industries and the only megapolis in northeastern China. Its major industries include machinery, automobile, equipment manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, chemical engineering, aviation and space flight. Korea’s POSCO, as well as the United States’ GM and Germany’s BMW plants are located in Shenyang.
