Daegu Metropolitan City operates oriental medicine educational and experience programs and a medicinal herb making program

Due to the implementation of the five-day school week at all elementary schools, starting in March, Daegu Metropolitan City will increase the operation of a variety of educational and experience programs angled towards children. These programs will be run under a theme of Oriental medicine culture at Daegu Yangnyeongsi Museum of Oriental Medicine.

○ In order to enhance a child’s basic understanding of Oriental medicine, Daegu Yangnyeongsi Museum of Oriental Medicine will operate a drawing puzzle experience programs that uses the culture and relics of Yangnyeongsi. Also, there will be a program that allows children to measure out medicinal ingredients using a scale and to wrap the medicine in hanji (Korean traditional paper) so that it can be drunk as a herbal tea at home...

2012 Daegu International Marathon Race provides discount coupons to participants for the first time

○ Participants of the 2012 Daegu International Marathon Race will receive a total of seven products consisting of five types, including the Daegu Shooting Range, Daegu City Tour, sauna, and Dongin-dong Jjim Galbi. If participants use their coupon at the applicable place, they can receive a discount of up to 50% on the fee.
