Multicultural children can receive free Korean lessons
|
Daegu City said it has joined hands with local publisher Woongjin Think Big to provide free home-visit Korean-language lessons to preschool children of multicultural families facing difficulties learning the language.
Those eligible to receive support are children aged between three and five from multicultural homes. The initiative is aimed at helping these children adapt to and actively participate in Korean society by giving them the chance to sufficiently adopt the Korean language during the critical development years... |

Daegu publishes new travel books

Daegu City yesterday announced the publication of two travel books featuring unique places in the nooks and crannies of Daegu as introduced by Korea’s leading travel writers.

Daegu refurbishes tourist information centers |
Daegu City said it has built a new tourist information center, while relocating another, as part of its efforts to raise the city’s image as a tourist hotspot and provide a better service.
Daegu City said it is building a tourist information center at the Exhibition Convention Center (EXCO) where many large-scale domestic and international events take place. To better cater to the growing number of Chinese visitors, Daegu City said it has recently completed relocating the tourist information center at the airport so that it is closer to the international-flights terminal.
